My friend George and I decided to visit a few breweries on Friday August 4. The plan was to pick up his
friend Greg (who lives in Roanoke VA but
was staying in Baltimore with his wife Sarah because she was on a business
trip), visit 2 or 3 breweries, and return Greg to the hotel in the late afternoon. Since I don't write
triplogs unless I visit at least 3 breweries, I hadn't planned on writing this, so I didn't take any
beer notes.
We arrived at Checkerspot Brewing a little after noon and tried several beers. My favorite was the Jean Quad.
Checkerspot was in the process of moving to a new location about half a mile away. We went over there
to check it out and also to say hi to my friends Judy and Rob, who are the owners.
We had planned to visit a brewery or two in Columbia, but decided to avoid all that driving and stay in
Baltimore. So our next stop was Union Craft Brewing.
Sarah Ubered over and met us. We all walked down to
Baltimore Spirits Company.
Then we went over to Pigtown and visited Pickett Brewing.
We walked to Wico Street Brewing.
Our final stop was Suspended Brewing.
I enjoyed their funky ales.
Then we dropped Greg and Sarah off and returned to Severna Park.
